…the Tsitsikamma, an enchanted forest hidden between fynbos filled mountains, spiderwebs glowing in the morning light, hairy worms wiggling by, and butterflies soaring amongst fluttering leaves…

The day was starting to end and soft sunlight was infiltrating the forest. A root of an enormous tree anchors the foreground, while sunlit ferns invites you to explore the trail into the forest.

A friend of mine wanted to climb Somerset Sneeukop (Snow peak) for her birthday and she asked me lead the hike, since I have done the hike before. Somerset Sneeukop is the highest peak in the Jonkershoek mountains,

I wanted to hike the Genadendal trail for some time now and I was ecstatic when I friend invited me to join. The trail starts at the small town of Genadendal, which is not far from the more well known town of Greyton.
